The cost of eyelid surgery in Florida will vary depending on whether you get upper or lower eyelid surgery or both and other surgical details specific to your case. Insurance may cover hooded eyelid surgery if drooping upper eyelids significantly impair your vision. To qualify, you’ll typically need documentation from an eye exam and photos proving the functional impairment.

You may not be a good candidate for eyelid surgery if you have certain medical conditions, such as glaucoma, dry eye syndrome, diabetes, thyroid disorders or uncontrolled high blood pressure. Dr. Sistare will carefully review your medical history to determine whether or not you could be a good candidate.

Upper eyelid surgery targets sagging or hooded upper eyelids, while lower eyelid surgery reduces puffiness or under-eye bags.

There’s no single “best” age for an eyelid lift, although most of our Palm Beach eyelid surgery patients are between the ages of 40 and 70.

Most people return to work and daily activities within 1 to 2 weeks. You’ll need to get plenty of rest and avoid wearing makeup or contact lenses for the first 2 weeks.
